I decided to take a closer peek at the "Digital Money" track at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) and who was on it that were Blockchain focused companies. Below are companies who are incorporating Cryptocurrency and Blockchain technology (that will be at CES 2020). Read on to find out who they are and what they share with us eager techies.
CES has come a long way since it first debuted in 1967 attracting 17,500 attendees and hosting 117 exhibitors in New York City.
Here are some numbers from CES 2019 (last year):
But, you know what's crazy? Despite a strong 52 year history, CES still has more new to offer. Enter, the Blockchain. Believe it or not, despite the gargantuan scale of the CES event, the elegantly coined "Digital Money" is relatively small.
No seriously, look at the scale of this:
The Sand Expo Tech West (pictured above) is one of literally dozens of halls sprawled across most of the Vegas Strip. It's just mind boggling to consider how nascent the Blockchain industry is. It will be fun to watch our "hallway" grow larger as time goes on. (To be fair, "Digital Money" doesn't include ALL Blockchain companies at CES but it does indicate how small the general category is)
Here's a list of some Blockchain and Cryptocurrency focused Companies exhibiting at CES:
MakerDAO - A decentralized organization and protocol built on and backed by Ethereum and focused on Decentralized Finance (DeFi) including stablecoin functionality, trust-less lending and borrowing
ANote - A Luxemborg-based platform which offers a marketplace for buying and selling music rights and a bridge between investors and music right owners
Canaan - Produces Blockchain servers ASIC microprocessor chips as seen in the AvalonMiner units from Beijing, China
Circularise - Open protocol and network focused on supply chain transparency and privacy using Zero Knowledge Proofs (ZKP)
Crypto Watches - The world's first "Blockchain Face Watch Brand" and digital collectible smart watch
Coinsource - A large Bitcoin ATM network and platform to find cash machines near you
Deeper Network - Claiming to be the world's first Blockchain firewall that offers physical network hardware
Devvio - Branding as "The Enterprise Blockchain" offering Blockchain as a service (BaaS) and aiming to solve scalability, speed and costs of transactions
Fluidensity - A platform for artists and art collectors to turn art into digital assets and buy, sell and trade them
Geniuno - Leveraging Blockchain, Internet of Things (IoT) and Artificial Intelligence that provides provenance of global assets in real time
Hyperlink Infosystem - Blockchain, game, mobile, web and app development company
Ibisa - Leverages Blockchain, GIS technology and index risk modelling to bring services like crop insurance to small (typically un-insurable farmers)
Iotex - Uses Blockchain to secure hardware devices end-to-end and create an "Internet of Trusted Things"
Karma Trust - Provide validation of wallet and contract addresses like a Secure Socket Layer (SSL)
PundiX - The world's first Blockchain phone, Cryptocurrency and Merchant Payment Network
SecureX - A Taiwan based open and end to end Cryptocurrency hardware wallet and integrated payment solution
Whew! That's a bunch of them. I will update and add more as I find them as well as provide some additional reporting on what is cool and innovative in the Cryptocurrency and Blockchain space. It's exciting to see this category grow and also how international this tech and industry is becoming.
Great times friends!
